My desktop recognizes the laptop, but the laptop doesn't recognize the homegroup on the desktop. but I have checked and followed almost every step which you provided in this article. I have run the gammet of possibilities…..clock synchro, ipv6, homegroup settings, left the group, made a new group. When I try to use Homegroup it says there is an existing Homegroup and invites all 4 units to join. I have tried everything without any luck! It ultimately plays but that hanging condition is nasty. Or wiping my system to fix a problem.
