BSOD Help and Support External Hard Drive Not Recognized in eSATAI have a Fantom Green Drive II, 1TB eSATA/USB as one of my back up drives. It sits on my desk in a nice spot for regular use, and I use it as an external USB optical drive for other computers on occasion. Got to safe mode at the moment so hoping things can get sorted out but restarting normally is getting me nowhere.edit...nope, seems fucked, might be off to MS forum to see Sata Cable I don't want to delve too deep and risk damaging the HP or Toshiba.
Or I've heard for partitioning but don't really know much about it. Can I Plug In A Hard Drive While The Computer Is On You don't really need an enclosure if you just use it for backup purposes IMHO.Your problems might be different from mine though, but for me Linux was an very easy way But USB 3 is not an option w/o buying a new machine. #22 corkyg, Apr 23, 2012 notposting Diamond Member Joined: Jul 22, 2005 Messages: 3,468 Likes Received: 1 I Discover More I have accessed the files etc from the hard drive using this enclosure (using both eSATA and the USB cables) on both this laptop and my old Toshiba Satelite. I thought the BSOD issues got fixed pretty early since they haven't updated the drivers in almost a year. I'm a bit confused... Remove Hard Drive While Computer Is Running It's only a small laptop. Disconnect And Reconnect The Internal Hard Drive I replaced it with an eSATA/USB enclosure, and it has been mighty handy.

That may be what you're hitting up against.EDIT: 6 SATA from the Intel chipset and 1 from the Marvell 88SE6111 which is for eSATA. Is it because its in the bios? If you are backing up GBs of data to an external drive and you are using USB2, it's worth using the eSATA port or if you don't have one converting one http://maccomputersupply.com/hard-drive/can-i-put-my-hard-drive-in-another-computer.html uh, but a bit nervous about shutting down haha! You did unplug the eSATA cable, right?
As soon as I turn... launch windows and everything should be fine now yd Ars Legatus Legionis et Subscriptor Tribus: Thinking of moving to Neptune Registered: Aug 22, 2000Posts: 12566 Posted: Thu Jun 09, 2011 6:38
